Hey there. I ain't gonna bite. Just wanted to see if everythin' was all right over here. What's a little lady like you doin' in this place?

[ she turns her head away, pulling her hood over her face. there's some hesitation before she decides to answer. ]

... I'm an outsider here. The same as you, I assume.

[ she does not reach for the offered hand. ]

[ he withdraws! but he stays where he is. ]

Yup. Got no forkin' clue how or why I got here, to be honest. You?

[sootprints]

... Me neither.

I can guess as to why I might have been sent away, but for all these other people to be abducted to the same place, at the same time... It makes no sense.

[ furrows his brows ]

Week 0, Saturday

[ hours after the trial, a shadow comes to darken boothill's doorstep.

she comes up to the barrier and just stands there ominously, looking in silently. how's he look. ]

[ boothill looks. insane! but he is behind the barrier hello. by this point he's just sitting on the ground, one leg bent, elbow propped on his kneecap. his voice sounds deep and cybernetic. he has a pointy stepford smile as he raises his head to look at kate. ]

Evenin', young lady.

[sootprints]

... Good evening.

[ she answers in a calm, even tone. ]

Would you be willing to talk about what happened? There's still much that I don't understand.

[shirtbag]

Sure I will, little miss. Let's strike a deal, shall we?

[ he pushes himself up onto his feet.]

Week 6, Monday

[sootprints]

[ kate's out exploring these weirdass graveyard locations when she sees boothill, and even without a face, her posture seems to convey surprise. ]

Oh...! It's been a long time.

[shirtbag]

[ puts them in the mall. he sees her and smiles! ]

Miss Kate.

[ he turns to face her and kneels down, elbow propped on his thigh. ]

It's good to see ya'. How you been feelin'?

[sootprints]

I'm... good. Better now, it seems.

How have you been?

[shirtbag]

All right. Always could be better, but that's true for any of us, I reckon. Could be worse too.

[ forces you to pc me HE WANTS TO FIND KATE, WHERE SHE GO ]

[ wow! she didn't go far, just enough to get out of sight and rub at her eyes as she tries to compose herself. ]

[ frowns... he keeps his distance for now though, even if his hands are lifted. ]

Oh! Boothill. I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me.

Week 7, Tuesday

[ hanging around the morning after our town hall. ]

... It's not easy to find a way to make everyone happy, is it?

[ she's clearly still mulling all of our choices over. ]

[ he nods. ]

Gets even tougher when you gotta balance how to help the livin' versus ourselves, right?

But, no matter what, we can't abandon them.

Week 7, Saturday

[ kate's hanging around outside the haunted house, gazing out at the town of Scawwy. ]

... I suppose we'll all be leaving soon.

[shirtbag]

[ even with her black sooty face, it's easy to spot kate's pretty dresses against the haunted house's dark, rotten wood. boothill makes his way to her as soon as he sees her. he takes a look out at the town himself. ]

Yeah. Sure will.

[ he looks at her. then the house. ]

This is where you lived back over here, right? Always sounded like you haunted house folks loved it in here.

Yes... We worked hard to make it into a home. It's a little sad to think we're just going to leave it like this...
